"പരിഷത്ത് സംഘടനയുടെ ചരിത്രം" എന്ന താളിന്റെ പതിപ്പുകൾ തമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യത്യാസം

ഈ വർഷം രണ്ടു അന്തർദേശീയ അവാർഡുകൾ പരിഷത്തിനു ലഭിച്ചു. പരിസ്ഥിതി രംഗത്തെ നമ്മുടെ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളെ മാനിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുള്ള യു.എൻ.ഇ.പിയുടെ (United nations Environment Programme) Globel- 500 Roll of honour  ആണ് ഒരു അവാർഡ്. മെക്‌സിക്കോയിൽ വെച്ച് നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽവെച്ച് പ്രൊഫ. എം.കെ. പ്രസാദാണ് അവാർഡ് ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങിയത്.

The awards are in the form of certificate and lapel button. Says UNEP Executive Director Dr. Mostafa K. Tolba: 'Environmental defenders -the volunteers and professionals for whom every day is World Environment Day-do not seek rewards. But their achievements richly deserve to be recognised. UNEP is happy-indeed we feel honoured-to be able to pay tribute to their long, hard work. We hope this recognition in the form of the 'Global 500' awards will encourage the laureates to continue. We also hope that their examples will inspire and guide many other men, women and young people to join the fast growing global coalition dedicated to protecting the environment-and thus our common future.

to KERALA SASTRA S;\HITHYA PARISHAD (KSSP) TRIVANDRU'J1, (SCIENCE POPULARIZATION MOVEMENT) INDIA for (1) having been actively involved since its inception in 1962 as a science popularization movement, in science communication, environ- mental and health education and in the application of science, technology and education to development; (2) conducting far-reaching campaigns and using popular communication tools, such as theatre, puppetry and regular publications, brochures, etc., to inform the public and create positive attitudes and stimulate action; having made a significant impact on science movements in other States and prompted the organization of a campaign known as the 'All India People's Science March', followed by the establishment of the 'All India  People's Science Network'; (3) launching in 1986 a broad five-year action programme to make the entire State fully literate and on the basis of the 1989 'lead kindly light' literacy campaign in the district of Ernakulam which made all the 3 million people of the district .literate leading the Prime Minister to declare Ernaku!am as the first fully literate district of India in this International Literacy Year.
